WAUPUN — This year’s Wine Walk had a 50’s theme—businesses and participants were encouraged to decorate and dress up in a 1950’s classic style.
The Waupun Wine Walk is an annual downtown event hosted by Discover Downtown Waupun.
“Imagine savoring exquisite wines amidst a backdrop of vintage charm and classic flair,” the Facebook event said. “Mark your calendars and prepare to wine-dine like it’s 1959!”
Several of the participating downtown businesses dressed up in classic outfits and decorated their rooms, notably Brook’s Shoes, who had 1950s wedding shoes on display, Green Collar Grooming, who set up a classic-style gambling parlor, and the Waupun Heritage Museum, who set up a 1950s exhibit with all years of Waupun High School yearbooks for visitors to look through.
Last year’s Wine Walk sold over 500 tickets.
