WAUPUN — IceFest 2024 was a blast!

The first annual Waupun IceFest wrapped up Sunday night after a weekend of winter-themed fun. The weekend saw the unveiling of nearly 50 ice sculptures around town, along with a wide variety of local events including horse carriage rides, a “Fire and Lights” show, an art gala, and more.

Mayor of Waupun Rohn Bishop was on local radio station The Source to kick off the weekend.

A live ice sculpture demo was held in the parking lot at My Property Shoppe, along with a Midtown Market inside the facility.

The horse carriage rides were held throughout the day Saturday starting at 11AM at the Waupun Heritage Museum, at which the Historical Society unveiled a new “Made in Waupun” local business history exhibit.

In the evening there were two major events. The Fire and Lights show, featuring Fox Valley Fire Arts, was held at the Waupun Ice Arena at 5PM and went until about 6:15PM. Next was the “Dueling Pianos” art gala held at The Rock Golf Club. Both events had a large attendance and were well received.

Sunday morning The Rock also hosted a “Breakfast with Elsa” event, and Wind & Unwined held live music featuring Michael Roddy.
