WAUPUN — “It’s a new era for the Waupun business community!” according to Envision Greater Fond du Lac, announcing the first annual meeting for the Waupun Business Alliance.
Last year the Waupun Chamber of Commerce was dissolved and incorporated into Envision Greater Fond du Lac, the county-wide commercial association. As part of this deal, the Chamber of Commerce has been succeeded by the Waupun Business Alliance, which opened their doors last December.
“In our “Inaugural” banquet as the Waupun Business Alliance,” the post explains, “our banquet will feature not only chamber-related news, but also timely updates from several organizations who contribute to the success of the Waupun community.”
The banquet will begin with a cocktail and networking hour from 5:00PM to 6:00PM, with dinner and presentations beginning at 6:00PM and going until 8:00PM.
The program will include speeches from Sadie Vander Velde of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, City Administrator Kathy Schlieve, representing Waupun’s Community Development Authority and Business Improvement District, Teresa Ruch and Tyler Schulz for Discover Downtown Waupun, and Nick Rusch from Waupun Festivals.
“If you want to be up-to-date on the momentum taking place in Waupun and the broader region, this is the place to be. One Waupun Business Alliance member will also be awarded special recognition for their contribution to the community’s success.”
The first annual meeting will be held at The Rock Golf Club, from 5 to 8pm, Thursday March 23rd, 2023. Registration will cost $40 for Business Alliance members, $50 for general admission, and $300 for a reserved table of 8. Individuals attending that have dietary restrictions are requested to contact Joe Venhuizen prior to the event to make arrangements.
