Waupun Pioneer News covers news in the greater Waupun area. Articles primarily focus on City Council, local business, schools, and local events. Stories are written based on the exclusive relevance to the Waupun area, and will generally stay within the local region.
Corrections Policy
Waupun Pioneer News strives for fact-based journalism that gets all sides of a story. However, sometimes details are misheard, misinterpreted, or forgotten which can lead to inaccuracies or misunderstandings of a topic. If you see an inaccuracy, or believe there’s missing context in a story, contact our email with the missing information and evidence that explains why the detail is important to include in a correction.

Waupun Pioneer News accepts press releases and submitted Letter to the Editor style articles, and will publish or cover them based on relevance to the Waupun community. Organizations and locals with an issue or event are encouraged to submit releases or articles, but will be held to proper literary standards. Waupun Pioneer News withholds the right to reject submitted articles for any reason.
Aggregate Policy
Waupun Pioneer News’s primary purpose is to share information on local news and events. Most articles on the website will be original content produced by WPN writers, but some articles will be shared from other platforms. It’s important for all local news to be accessible in one place, and all content used from elsewhere will be clearly labeled under “Aggregate Column” as author with links to the original article included in the post. If you are the author or publisher of an article that was aggregated you wish to discuss, please contact us to work something out.
