(PHOTOS) Rotary Club holds third annual Beerfest

WAUPUN — The Waupun Rotary Club held their third annual Beerfest fundraiser this weekend, with proceeds going towards the Waupun REACH program.

The “Beer, Bites, and Live Music” event was held last Saturday, September 7, from 2 to 6PM at Go-Dutch Solutions.

Tickets were $45 to sample beer, along with pizza from The Other Bar, chocolate from Guth’s Candy, and other appetizers. Beer was supplied from twelve regional breweries including Knuth’s of Ripon, 3 Sheeps of Sheboygan, Ooga Brewing Co. of Beaver Dam, and more. Live music was performed by Ted Otto.

“The Waupun Rotary would like to thank all of our 2024 Beerfest event attendees and the following community sponsors for their continued support,” the Waupun Rotary Club said in a statement to WPN. “We look forward to celebrating again next year!”

Also at the event were drawings for the Waupun Rotary/Reach cash raffle. The $1000 1st place grand prize winner was Jason Whitford of Waupun. Whitford graciously donated all his winnings back to the fundraiser, with $500 to the Waupun Rotary and $500 to Reach Waupun. The $750 2nd place was Paul Netzer of Oshkosh and $500 3rd Place was Suzanne Bennett of Eagle River.

The event was also attended by Mayor of Waupun Rohn Bishop, and Cory and Bambi Buchholz, the organizers of Waupun Volksfest, which will be held this Friday and Saturday.

The Waupun Rotary Club held their first Beerfest in 2022 at Waupun’s City Hall Auditorium, and their second at Go-Dutch Solutions last year.
