WAUPUN — Classic cover band The Del Rays performed Thursday evening at this year’s second summer Concerts in the Park.
Waupun Fine Arts Committee vice president Charles Lehman introduced the band and thanked the attendees for coming. He mentioned that the Del Rays don’t have much of an online presence, where most bands have a Facebook page or website, but they don’t use either.
The concert was well attended and went from 6:30 to 8PM at West End Park. Concessions including pulled pork, chips, fruit cups, and cookies were provided by The Alto Alstars 4-H.
The Fine Arts Committee hosts concerts at West End Park every Thursday in July. Last week, Waupun Fine Arts hosted The Cajun Strangers at the Waupun Ice Arena.
The Del Rays are a regular performer for Waupun’s Concerts in the Park, and were the first to perform for the concerts last year.
