WAUPUN — The Waupun Truck-n-Show elected new members to the committee’s board of directors at the October membership meeting Saturday morning.
The Committee now consists of president Steve Schaalma, vice president Nancy Kutschenreuter, secretary Shawna Ojstrsek, treasurer Ryan Lentz, and the Board of Directors Tom Loveless, Scott Tofeland, and Lola Milner.
“The Truck-n-Show had some new people come to the meeting to take part in being a member to continue this awesome truck show,” Kutschenreuter told WPN. “However we are still in need of more. And of course volunteers during the show.”
The Truck-n-Show Committee held a similar meeting last month to discuss plans for next year’s show. Being a volunteer run non-profit organization, concerns have risen over whether there are enough members to keep the Show going, but committee leadership is confident that they can pull through for another year due to the community’s passion for the annual event.
“It’s going to be another great show for 2023 and I know the Waupun community is happy knowing those beautiful trucks will be rolling on in August 11th and 12th once again,” Kutschenreuter said.
The next normal meeting of the Truck-n-Show Committee is scheduled for January, where they will finalize the plans for which bands will play at the event, which charity foundations the Show will sponsor, and next year’s parade marshall.
