Waupun Fire & Rescue Department to host EMS meet and greet
WAUPUN — In celebration of National EMS Week, the Waupun Fire & Rescue Department will host a multi-agency meet and greet on Wednesday, May 20th, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Waupun Fire Station, 16 East Main Street Waupun, WI 53963.
National EMS Week (May 17–23) highlights the vital role of emergency medical services in our communities. This year’s theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” focuses on the collaborative efforts between healthcare disciplines to enhance patient care and support the personnel on the front lines.
The event will feature representatives from Waupun EMS, Lifestar EMS, Ripon Guardian Ambulance, Mayville EMS, Mayville EMS Training Center, and Moraine Park Technical College. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore career pathways in emergency medicine, speak with experienced providers, and learn about the educational programs available in the region.
The meet and greet will also feature a “touch-a-truck” element, with multiple ambulances and specialized life-saving equipment on display for public walkthroughs.
“Whether you are an aspiring first responder, a student, someone considering a career change, already involved in healthcare, or a community member curious about how we serve the area, we invite you to join us,” said Captain Lance Thomas. “This is a great chance to see the technology we use today and learn where the future of EMS is headed.”
