WAUPUN — A group of community members have expressed interest in starting a new organization to follow in the footsteps of the former Waupun Truck-n-Show, which held their 35th and final year in 2024.

The new group met in a small preliminary meeting for the first time in early December to discuss the idea itself, trying to figure out how to gauge interest in a new event. This came after the former Waupun Truck-n-Show committee held their annual November banquet after their last year in 2024.

On Monday, the currently unnamed group put out a statement announcing their first official meeting.

“Waupun Truck-N-Show put on a great show for 35 years. So many people helped make it a successful event and 2025 will not be the same without it.”

“There’s a small group of individuals who want to see a new iconic Truck Show happen in Waupun. With the help of the individuals in the Waupun community, we believe it IS possible for summer of 2026!”

“If you want to be a part of the conversation in creating a new truck show please join us on February 6 at 6:30PM to 8PM at the City Hall, downstairs meeting room. Bring your ideas, thoughts, ambitions. In this meeting we will need to finalize potential board members in order to get the ball rolling and on track for a 2026 event.”

“Thank you,
Community members of Waupun
Jason Whitford, Bobbi Jo Kunz, Nikki Landaal, and Candace Johnson.”

There are many points that the group will need to work out before making the new event a reality: where to start, what it will look like, and how to attract volunteers—which was the main problem that the former Waupun Truck-n-Show faced before retiring.

The new truck show will not be identical to the old one, and can’t name itself the same thing. If there is enough interest in the new group, they will need to start from the ground up to build a new organization and event.

Those who are interested in participating can attend the meeting on February 6 or contact the members of the group listed above for more information.
