REACH Waupun draws big crowd at “Nashville Night” gala

WAUPUN — REACH Waupun drew a big crowd Saturday evening at the “Nashville Night” gala held at The Rock Golf Club.

Attendees were told to dress up in cowboy style attire for the meal, which had a western/country theme. Social hour began at 5:30PM, followed by the meal at 6:30PM, and live auction at 7:15PM. Pre-meal music was done by Cameron Reese & Dan Jo, and closing music by Aaron Nichols.

Following the meal attendees heard from several speakers. Director of REACH Waupun Jayne Harmsen thanked everyone for attending, and introduced current and former members of the REACH board who were in attendence. She also thanked all of REACH’s mentors who have committed to helping local kids.

Other speakers included former REACH board member Wayne Buteyn, current board member BJ DeMaa, Mayor of Waupun Rohn Bishop, and Mark Homan. The event was MC’d by Nick Rusch, who also ran the auction at the end of the night which raised over $10,000 for REACH. 

The event was put on by Homan Auto, who have presented events for REACH in previous years.

REACH Waupun is now located in the new Waupun Community Center at 520 McKinley St.

The previous Saturday the Waupun Truck-n-Show Committee held a banquet at The Rock following their final year of the Truck Show in Waupun.
