WAUPUN — The Waupun Truck-n-Show Committee held their annual appreciation dinner Saturday night at The Rock Golf Club.
The appreciation dinner is an annual event held for the members that volunteer their time to make the Truck-n-Show a success.
The dinner was attended by Truck-n-Show beneficiaries including Jayne Harmsen from REACH Waupun and Laura and John Beres, whose son Noah was the Make-a-Wish kid this year. The event was MC’d by Mayor of Waupun Rohn Bishop. Following the speakers they held a free raffle.
A common theme throughout the dinner was the good that the event does for the community and attendees.
“We have competitions, but every truck that comes to the show is a winner,” said Nancy Kutschenreuter, vice president of the Truck-n-Show Committee. “Because they are supporting the Waupun Truck Show, the kids, our sponsors in REACH, the Animal Shelter, and Make-a-Wish. But to me, that’s what it’s all about.”
“I want to put out a big thank you to The Rock, they really support us a lot,” she added.
Preparations for next year’s Truck-n-Show, which will be the 35th Annual, will begin in earnest starting in January.
