WAUPUN — Pillar and Vine celebrated their 10th anniversary Saturday evening at their 5th Annual “Wine & Whiskey” Fundraiser.

Pillar and Vine is a non-profit foster care agency headquartered in Brandon on Highway 49, with visitation facilities in the City of Fond du Lac.

The organization works with 39 foster children placed with families in the Fond du Lac County area, giving children a safe and stable home environment. Many of the children they work with come from the Fond du Lac County area, and are often placed in the same areas as they already lived to minimize as much disruption as possible.

The Wine & Whiskey Fundraiser offered taste tests for a variety of wines and whiskeys, a buffet, live music, and a wide array for a silent auction.

Waupun County Supervisor Jon Venhuizen gave a speech at the event as a member of the Pillar and Vine board of directors. He talked about how many children who have been removed from bad home environments in Wisconsin, and helping children to get out of situations and into stable homes.

The event was attended by local officials including Mayor of Waupun Rohn Bishop and Fond du Lac County Executive Sam Kaufman.
