SSM Health Physician Dr. Syed Mohiuddin receives OAK Award for exceptional care
The OAK Award recognizes physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs)
WAUPUN — SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital physician Dr. Syed Mohiuddin has been honored with an OAK (One of a Kind) Award in recognition of his outstanding compassion, attentiveness, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
The OAK Award was inspired by a heartfelt nomination from a patient and her son following a visit to the emergency department. The family shared that Dr. Mohiuddin’s empathy, patience, and dedication to listening helped them feel supported and respected.
Reflecting on the experience, the patient’s mother recalled a comment her son made after the visit that captured the impact of Dr. Mohiuddin’s care:
“Mom, he actually treated me like what I said mattered.”
Those words, she said, underscored the meaningful difference Dr. Mohiuddin made for their family. Dr. Mohiuddin’s recognition highlights the important role that patient-centered care plays in creating a healing environment and providing exceptional care.
