WAUPUN — The Waupun Historical Society presents “Haunted History” walking tours!

A monthly event planned for this summer, the Haunted History Tours are a new way to experience Waupun history—including some supernatural stories that took place right downtown.

“Explore the fascinating stories behind our town’s most haunted locations, where history intertwines with ghostly tales,” the Waupun Historical Society said in a statement. “This entertaining tour will guide you through sites and share a blend of captivating history and supernatural lore. Whether you’re a history buff, a ghost enthusiast, or just looking for a unique evening out, this tour has something for everyone!”

The walking tours are interactive with an in-person guide along with a virtual follow-along website. A QR code is provided at the beginning of the event to allow those with smart devices to follow along on their phones and see pictures of the locations as they were in history.

Showings will be held the third Saturday of each month from June to September, starting 5PM at the Waupun Heritage Museum. The tours will take about an hour each and stop at several locations in the downtown area of Waupun, including Reiki Firefly Gift Shop, Graceful Nest (formerly Johnson/Fletcher Studio), Jud-sons, and the Waupun Public Library.

“Are you ready for an adventure that’s just a little spooky and a lot of fun? We invite you to join us for our Haunted History Tour! Reserve your spot today, and let’s uncover the past together!”

Tickets are now available for the first tour scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at 5PM. Tickets can be purchased for $15 at the Historical Society website’s event page, here: https://www.waupunhistory.org/events.
