WAUPUN — The Waupun Truck-n-Show Committee presented checks to several local organizations over the last few months for the final dispersal of nearly $35,000 from the Truck-n-Show fundraiser.
Last November they held their final volunteer banquet where they gave large donations to Make-a-Wish and REACH Waupun, with over $42,000 for Make-a-Wish and over $24,000 for REACH.
The Committee had some funds leftover from the event and donated the rest to various community organizations. The list of local organizations that received from the Truck-n-Show included:
1. Waupun Fire Department
2. Heroes’ Hunt for Veterans
3. Waupun Food Pantry
4. Waupun Community Center
5. Waupun Animal Shelter
6. REACH Waupun
7. Waupun VFW
8. Fond du lac County Sheriff K9 Unit
9. A.G.E.F – Waupun
10. Waupun American Legion
The Waupun Truck-n-Show Committee also wanted to reiterate that they are not affiliated with any new truck show group, in Waupun or otherwise. There are a few new truck shows planned in Wisconsin, including one in the Baraboo area called “Badger State Truck’n Show,” but none are affiliated with the former Waupun Truckers Jamboree.
