WAUPUN — This year’s Summer Concerts in the Park got off to a wet start, but returned to their normal location its second week.
The Concerts in the Park are hosted every Thursday in July by the Waupun Fine Arts Committee at West End Park.
The first concert this year, “My So Called Band” returned to Waupun to perform on July 2, but just like last year it got rained out. The showing was moved to the Waupun Ice Arena, which was still fairly attended.
My So Called Band covers rock and pop hits from the 80s and 90s and operates out of the Sheboygan area.
This week, another well known band “The Del Ray’s” performed at West End Park. While it rained in the morning and early afternoon thankfully it stayed away for the scheduled performance.
The Del Ray’s have performed as a group since the 1970s and perform a variety of rock & roll from the 50’s, 60’s, and the 70’s.
