WAUPUN — Pastor Forsell Gappa and two others expressed concerns over the Library material and display policies to the Waupun Common Council, Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Pastor Gappa spoke about the Waupun Public Library previously putting up homosexual “pride month” displays during the month of June, a topic which he first brought to the Library Director last July and the Board in January. Gappa expressed his belief that some library material is unsuitable for display in public or prominent locations, and that by promoting the material the library promotes sexual deviancy.
Also heard from were Matt Pierce and Zachary Gappa, who reiterated similar concerns.
Twelve others were in attendance but did not speak. Library Director Bret Jaeger was not in attendance at the meeting.
