Hello Waupun!
As we close out September, the Milwaukee Brewers have clinched the best record in all Major League Baseball; the Chicago Cubs are limping into the postseason, and the Green Bay Packers look terrible.
It’s homecoming week, so look out for kids being kids and toilet paper flying around. As the mayor, I don’t condone the behavior, but as a former kid, I get it. I don’t get upset at the students, because I was a kid once, too. To the kids, let’s just all be safe, and don’t vandalize or destroy any property. If you see kids TP-ing, you can call the police or just roll your eyes and ignore them. As for me, my daughter has a date to the homecoming dance, and I don’t know if I’m ready for this! LOL
On Tuesday at 1pm will be my monthly listening session held in the Werner Harmsen Room at the new Community Center. If you’re dying to ask a question, or just curious as to what’s going on around Waupun, this is a great opportunity, and all are welcome. I’ll give an update on the budget, the downtown alley project, which is nearing completion, the Shaler Drive expansion, pool leak, splash pad, and more.
